SynchroStar members Elizabeth Oh and Abby Remmers recently competed in the first round of qualification for US Synchro Age Group National Teams, which were held in Mesa, Arizona. The competition included the top 11-12 and 13-15 year old synchronized swimmers in the country, with the top 24 in each age group moving on to the final selection round to be held in May. SynchroStar Abby Remmers finished in 12th place and will be competing in the final selection. The top 12 swimmers in each age group will be named to the US National Team.

Two swimmers from the First Colony SynchroStars participated in a National Team Skills Competition being held to select the top swimmers in the nation. Nationally, the top 75 swimmers in each age group qualify for National Team Trials, of which 10 will be selected for the team. The Skills Competition was the first step of the try out process.
Team member Elizabeth Oh qualified in 1st place to move on to the next level of competition for the 13-15 age group. 11-12 Swimmer, Abby Remmers placed 6th and also qualified to move on. Congratulations swimmers, we are VERY Proud of you!
