Olympic Trials- June 23, 2012

Day 1
FCST kicked off Trials with swims from Skylar Smith (400 IM) and Eegan Groome (400 FR).  Skylar broke the top 50, an extremely difficult feat in a meet with over 1800 swimmers, placing 48th!

Day 2
On the second day of competition, with the Olympic Team beginning to form, Skylar and Romy Landeck kicked off with the 100 Breast, followed by Jordan Hancock's 400 Free.

Day 3
Our girls had a strong day today, with Simone Manuel and Maddie Locus swimming the 200 Free. Simone's swim was a team record for the 15-18 and the Open girls, as well as putting her 50th at the Olympic Trials! Skylar and Romy swam the 200 IM next, with Skylar getting within 2 tenths of her own team record in the event.

Day 4
Brett Pinfold's 100 Free represented FCST well on day 4 of the Olympic Trials, swimming a solid time of :52.69.

Day 5
Simone and Maddie came out swinging again in the 100 Freestyle.  Simone's 55.45 put her just outside of semi-finals in 17th, while Maddie's 56.13 put her in 31st! Skylar and Romy again came back, with strong swims in the 200 Breast on the 5th day of competition.

Day 6
A quiet day for FCST swimmers on day 6 saw USA's best take on the Men's 50 Free, Women's 800, Men's 100 Fly, and Women's 200 Back. Can you name the Olympians?

Day 7
The final day of Preliminary competition saw some outstanding finishing from FCST's Elite. Simone's 50 Free was a new team record in the 15-18 and Open categories and put her 20th with a time of 25.63! Maddie Locus also placed inside the top 50, with a swim of 26.01, good enough for 43rd.  Daniel Graviss, with one swim in the meet, made it count with a solid 15:48 in the 1500, placing 41st! Eegan rounded up FCST's races swimming the 1500 as well.
